This building, located in Badagry, Lagos state, Nigeria, had its foundation laid in 1843 while it was then concluded in 1845. It is an old wooden structure with wooden staircase which still looks as strong as ever.
It is known to be the most popular missionary house in Badagry mainly because the first sets of missionaries in Nigeria settled at the building. The building which is white in colour consists of two big living rooms, four stores and a safe for precious item keeps.
History has it that the building also housed some slaves during slavery in Badagry. The building currently has a glass shelf which contains both the English and Yoruba versions of the bible translated by Bishop Ajayi Crowther, who happened to be a returnee slave, and stayed in one of the rooms in this building.
